8月18日-21日,第十八届中国绿色食品博览会、第五届中国·内蒙古绿色农畜产品博览会、第四届中国·包头国际牛羊肉产业大会在包头国际会展中心召开。今年“三会合一”，开启了国家级、省市级和地级市联合办会的先河，成为自治区历史上规格最高、规模最大、人数最多的首次联合展会。这也是中国绿色食品博览会首次在地级城市举办、首次在西部地区召开。

8月17日上午，中国羊肉美食之都建设项目启动仪式暨小尾羊大火锅点火仪式在包头国际会展中心举行，也拉开了第十八届中国绿色食品博览会、牛羊肉产业大会的序幕。记者在现场了解到，当日点火的小尾羊大火锅用白钢铸就，净重20吨，面积64平方米，锅高9米，凭借其巨型身量，去年曾获得基尼斯纪录官方现场认证。今年大火锅再次升级，增加了遮阳棚和40口小锅，可供40人同时用餐。还提供了清汤、辣汤以及搭配合理的营养套餐。

展会分为第十八届中国绿色食品博览会、第五届中国·内蒙古绿色农畜产品博览会、第四届中国·包头国际牛羊肉产业大会、“一带一路”15个国家特色产品展、牛羊肉精深加工新技术和新设备展、基尼斯世界纪录大火锅品鉴、种牛种羊展七大展区，目前，共确定参展企业1702家、6000多人。同时邀请中国烹饪协会、中国餐饮供应链管理协会、中国食文化研究会、华人美食促进会、众美联集团、沃尔玛、北京市、上海、江苏、重庆、河南、吉林等十余家省市的专业行业协会组织会员单位前来参会，目前，已确定1300家采购商参展。
